BLACK HISTORY MONTH:
Lessons One and Two—By KRS-One

Black History Month: Lessons One and Two by KRS-One is the first in a series of Black historical teachings by KRS-One designed to update and stimulate the thinking of any Black Studies or African American Studies student. This eye-opening audio lecture is not only a brilliantly narrated critique of Black History Month itself, but it also speaks of a traditional Black consciousness which is more focused upon “Black character than that of Black people”. Of course, KRS-One sites and honours a universe of ancestral Black revolutionaries as well as a world of modern-day Black intellectual stars, but the main focus to Black History Month: Lessons One and Two is character—BLACK CHARACTER, and the doing away of erroneous misinformation regarding the African American ancestral narrative. In this 80-minute audio presentation, KRS-One points out how one-sided the whole African American slave narrative is in comparison to all other European immigrants also entering the colonies “as slaves” or who came to the Americas with a slave history which is never taught or discussed in public education like African American slave history is. With a sharp intellectual analysis, along with retrievable facts, sited books and credited footnotes, KRS-One accurately points-out the deliberate attempt to arrest the development of the African American mind by keeping African Americans wedded to a slave history that cannot be real or true for any consistently growing and developing group of people. Black History Month: Lessons One and Two is available for free download at www.krs-one.com. Enjoy.
